Lazada this week announced the launch of a dedicated fashion channel created in collaboration with Taobao, Alibaba’s eCommerce platform.
Available on the Lazada app in both Singapore and Malaysia, the new Taobao Fashion channel features more than 6 million clothing items curated from bestselling Taobao merchants.
Through this new channel, shoppers will be able to find trendsetting products at the best prices. All products are eligible for LazCoins discounts, and the channel will also feature exclusive promotions, such as the weekly TaoFashion Day, which offers 70% discounts on new product listings. Customers in Singapore and Malaysia who make purchases through the Taobao Fashion channel can also enjoy free international shipping from China and receive their orders in as fast as five working days.
“Shoppers today are increasingly savvy and globalized, constantly seeking more unique and diverse fashion offerings to refresh their wardrobes,” said Jason Chen, chief business officer of Lazada Group. “This partnership with Taobao strengthens our ability to leverage Alibaba’s eCommerce synergies, delivering unmatched variety and value to our customers. Our goal is to make fashion accessible and inclusive, allowing shoppers to express their style confidently without compromising on price.”
To celebrate Taobao Fashion’s launch, Lazada Singapore and Lazada Malaysia have respectively rolled out seven-day and 15-day hassle-free returns with flexible pickup and drop-off options. Both markets are also offering “buy three, get 20% off” deals to mark the occasion. While the channel currently focuses on fashion, Lazada aims to incorporate more lifestyle products in the future to provide style-savvy consumers with a diverse array of shopping options.
