Lazada Seller Summit 2024 Recognizes Top eCommerce Performers in Malaysia

Lazada, a leading eCommerce platform in Southeast Asia, recognized the achievements of its top-performing sellers at the inaugural Lazada Seller Summit 2024 in Malaysia on July 26, 2024. The event, held at One World Hotel, honored over 40 sellers across categories including fashion & beauty, home & living, electronics, and groceries.

 

Officiated by Malaysian Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, the summit attracted more than 1,000 sellers from across Malaysia. The event featured a full day of presentations and panel discussions aimed at providing sellers with insights and strategies to enhance their businesses.

“The positive impact and role played by Lazada – a pioneer in this industry – is crucial, as it will give sellers a chance to grow and succeed in eCommerce,” said YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital. “eCommerce platforms must continue to assist sellers by providing them with robust tools and agile platforms. The success of the sellers will in turn highlight an eCommerce platforms effectiveness in supporting digital entrepreneurship.”

 

Key topics covered during the summit included digital marketing strategies, logistics optimization, and customer engagement tactics. These sessions provided attendees with practical advice and best practices for navigating the competitive digital landscape. Participants also had the opportunity to connect with Lazada and eCommerce industry leaders, fellow sellers, and Lazada Certified Trainers.

 

The awards ceremony at the Lazada Seller Summit 2024 saw a host of international brands such as Dyson, HP, Huawei, LEGO, Samsonite and Samsung being recognized for their achievements. Local brands such as Montigo and NEUTROVIS received awards for Most Loved Lifestyle Brand Partner and Most Loved Home-Grown Brand Partner, respectively. Senheng was named the Most Loved Retailer Brand Partner for its exceptional service and customer loyalty.

 

Other notable award recipients included ALDO, Baseus, Big Pharmacy, Olaplex, and Pop Mart. Among the standout sellers were Adam Zero and Bite a Snack, recognized for their product quality, seller ratings, and consistent growth on Lazada.

 

“I began my journey as a Lazada seller in August 2021 during the pandemic, specializing in men’s clothing,” said Timmy Kok, owner of Adam Zero and winner of the Community Champion award. “The community’s support, including guidance from its Facebook page admins, Lazada Trainers, and other sellers, has been invaluable. Through Lazada’s training, I’ve mastered platform workflows, from keyword selection and ad performance to campaign submission and finance analysis.”

 

Dixon Chai, owner of Bite a Snack, winner of the Emerging Seller Award, shared his experience. “Amidst the uncertainties of 2020, ‘Bite a Snack’ emerged from Ipoh with a mission to reconnect people with traditional tastes. Our journey on Lazada has allowed us to build strong customer relationships and enhance our product range and delivery.”

 

The awards presented at the Lazada Seller Summit 2024 reflect the sellers’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, it also celebrates livestream hosts who contributed to the growth of the platform.
