Shoppertainment initiatives also continued to prove popular with Southeast Asian shoppers, who spent 40 times more money while watching LazLive during the campaign compared to normal days. Many interesting consumer purchasing habits also emerged from the event, including Vietnamese consumers’ love for black sportswear, the surge in demand for Lego during Malaysia’s gift-giving season and more.
Lazada Women’s Fest Takes Place in Indonesia
Lazada Indonesia recently held its Lazada Women’s Fest, a three-day event that aimed to inspire youths, especially women, to follow their passions and pursue their dreams. The event included talk shows with inspiring personalities; music performances with local celebrities; and other immersive activities, such as LazBeauty and LazLook Playground. Lazada also provided opportunities for female business owners with a competition called “Elevate Women,” which selected 10 entrepreneurs to present their business development plans to a panel of judges. All entrepreneurs received business assistance from Lazada and the opportunity to gain exposure and potential investments from judges. Meanwhile, to support local businesses, Lazada also used the event as an opportunity to launch special collaborations between 10 local fashion and beauty brands and prominent influencers.
Lazada Singapore Receives Accolade from HR Asia
Lazada Singapore was recognized among the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2022 (Singapore edition) winners list. This year’s awards explored companies’ efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace while also meeting HR Asia’s other stringent evaluation criteria. In particular, Lazada Singapore was lauded for its employee engagement and workplace excellence as well as its initiatives to take care of employees’ wellbeing at the workplace.
