The project aims to give inmates new opportunities through eCommerce, providing them with a means of long-term livelihood after their sentences.

During Lazada’s Epic Birthday Sale last month, many shoppers leveraged the eCommerce platform’s AI innovations when making purchasing decisions. In the lead up to and during the mega sale, the platform’s Ask the Buyers AI feature generated more than 2.2 million product-related questions. The questions garnered 1.5 million real buyer responses, all of which helped other shoppers make informed decisions about what to buy. Lazada’s AI tools also helped streamline the review-writing process for users, resulting in an 11% increase in text reviews for products.
Lazada Receives Perfect Score in Anti-Scam Ratings
Lazada this month was awarded a full score in the E-commerce Marketplace Transaction Safety Ratings conducted by Singapore’s Inter-Ministry Committee on Scams (IMCS). The annual ratings indicate the extent to which an eCommerce marketplace has implemented safety features deemed critical by the IMCS.
