Lazada Indonesia last month once again collaborated with Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), the biggest annual fashion show in Indonesia. It was Lazada’s fourth year joining the event as JFW’s official eCommerce partner, and the collaboration reflected Lazada’s new brand proposition of “Add to Cart, Add to Life.”
Lazada Indonesia Chief Marketing Officer Intan Ayu Kartika said: “In line with the spirit of ‘Add to Cart, Add to Life,’ Lazada’s collaboration with Jakarta Fashion Week, with the theme ‘Fashion of The Next Normal,’ adds colors to consumers’ lives through fashion expressions. We believe JFW is the right platform for designers’ creative ideas to meet the needs for fashion inspiration from fashion enthusiasts, and this aligns with Lazada’s position as a trusted place to find the latest fashion trends.”
Lazada invited local brands, sellers and designers to create and showcase looks inspired by post-pandemic fashion trends that emphasize comfort. These looks were presented at two exclusive JFW shows that had ‘Fashion of The Next Normal’ as the theme. The shows successfully captured various styles, trends and stories from eight Indonesian designers: Super Sentimental Secret Theory (SSST), Shining Bright Co., Elnov, Auctus, Heaven Lights, Ederra, NUC.ID and Maima.
Consumers in Indonesia were able to watch Lazada’s JFW shows via LazLive on the Lazada app. Viewers were also able to purchase exclusive collections presented during the event with Lazada’s ‘See Now, Buy Now’ feature.
Lazada also used the event to introduce LazLook to consumers in Indonesia. This dedicated fashion channel helps shoppers find trendy and stylish clothing and accessories specially curated for fashion enthusiasts. Through this feature, designers can showcase their works and get insights from consumers, enabling them to better understand shoppers’ wants and needs.
The collaboration with JFW reflects Lazada’s belief in the role that digital technology can play in helping the fashion industry grow and adapt in the new normal.
“This collaboration shows Lazada’s support for Indonesia’s fashion industry to be able to create freely and be more widely recognized by Indonesian consumers. Lazada is committed to presenting a fashion ecosystem that continues to grow, and one way to do this is by creating a platform that connects designers with consumers,” said Kartika. “Lazada believes that digital technology is a part of fashion reformation and can help the fashion industry adapt to the changes and developments of the times.”
